The aim of this research work was to find out the main peculiarities of poetics of the Byron’s plays, “Cain” in particular.
According to the aim of the research the following research tasks were put forward:
• to review George Gordon Byron’s biography and major dramatic works.
• to find out and analyze the main features of Byron’s plays
• to trace and analyze behavior and development of the main heroes of Byron’s plays, ‘Cain’ in particular.

The objects: George Gordon Byron’s plays, ‘Cain’ in particular.
This course paper consists of following parts:
1. Introduction: the theme is defined, its topicality is established, the aim and the research tasks are formulated.
2. The first chapter gives the general characteristics of George Gordon Byron’s life and work.
3. The second chapter describes the main features, which identify poetics of the Byron’s plays.
5. Conclusions briefly summarize the results of the investigation.
6. The list of literature: contains the enumeration of the dictionaries, books, monographs, articles, and other sources of information.
