The aim of given course paper is to identify landscape details in W. Irving’s short stories.
To achieve this objective it is necessary to set the following tasks:
• to review an information about W. Irving’s life and work;
• to learn about artistic style of W. Irving and show it in his stories;
• to analyze W. Irving’s stories;
• to find out landscape details in short stories by W. Irving.
